The frame is the backbone of every FPV drone. It's where you mount all the key components: motors, flight controller, ESCs, FPV system, and battery. The shape, size, and construction of the frame determine the purpose, durability, and flight characteristics of your machine. In this category, you'll find a wide selection of FPV frames for various applications, from the smallest to large platforms.
Most frames are made of durable carbon fiber, providing an excellent stiffness-to-weight ratio. Depending on the type, frames may include additional plastic elements, such as propeller guards (ducts).
We offer frames for building drone types such as:
Whoop / Micro (small, often with guards, for indoor flying)
Freestyle (durable, symmetrical, for acrobatics)
Cinematic / Cinewhoop (stable, with prop protection, for smooth shots)
Long Range (lightweight, efficient, for longer flights)
Choosing the right frame depends on how and where you want to fly. Here's a breakdown of the main types of FPV frames:
Whoop / Micro Frames: Small (prop size from 1 to 2.5 inches), often integrated with propeller guards (ducts). Made of plastic or thin carbon fiber. Ideal for safe learning and fun at home or in a small garden.
Freestyle Frames: The most popular segment, mainly for 5-inch propellers. Characterized by thick arms (4-6mm), symmetrical layout (True X or hybrid), and robust construction designed to withstand numerous crashes while learning tricks. They provide good protection for electronics.
Cinewhoop / Cinematic Frames: Designed for smooth video recording. Smaller (2.5-3.5 inch) Cinewhoops have distinctive ducts protecting propellers and surroundings, allowing flights close to people and objects. Larger Cinematic frames (5-7 inches) focus on minimizing vibrations and providing space for professional cameras, often without ducts.
Long Range Frames: Optimized for long flights. They are lightweight, often have a 'Deadcat' layout (front arms swept back to keep props out of the FPV/HD camera view), and offer plenty of space for mounting large batteries and GPS modules. Available in sizes from 4 to 7 inches and larger.
When choosing, also consider the supported propeller size, carbon fiber thickness, frame weight, mounting space for electronics (hole standards: 20x20mm, 30.5x30.5mm, Whoop AIO), and the availability of spare parts (arms are often damaged).
Choosing your first (or next!) FPV frame can be exciting, but also challenging. Are you hesitating between a durable freestyle frame and a stable cinewhoop? Not sure which size will be suitable for your motors and flying style? Or perhaps you're looking for the perfect long range platform?
